About the South East Branch

Branch Area
The Branch covers Kent, Surrey, most of Sussex and certain London boroughs.  It has 800 members, of whom about 140 are Fellows of the Institute.

Meetings
The Branch holds meetings once a month from September to June, as well as an Annual Dinner in November and a Summer Outing in June.  Members of other professional bodies are welcome to attend monthly meetings free of charge.

Mediation Twisting Arms
Fresh off the press, this report from the Ministry of Justice, courtesy of Linux Legal (see Menu / Useful Links) evaluates a quasi-compulsory mediation programme and a voluntary mediation scheme. The results describe the uptake of mediation, user experiences, and the potential of mediation to offer savings to the justice system.
