David Simmonds IEng MBEng MIFireE MIET MIED MCIArb AMAE

David is an Incorporated Engineer and has spent his working life in the building services industry. He is a member of several professional bodies that reflect his expertise and a director of his own company specialising in fire protection systems.  His company is a member of the FSA and the FIA.

During the last few years, David has been heavily involved in dispute resolution. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Academy of Experts, for whom he acts as an Accredited Mediator. He also mediates in community disputes for the East Surrey Community Mediation Service.

David's extensive background in mechanical and electrical building services and his specialist knowledge of fire protection gives him an understanding of why people in the construction industry find themselves in dispute situations and how they could resolve their disputes by using mediation in the first instance.
