Derek Ross BA BAI MSc(Construction Law) PhD CEng FIEI FCIArb

Derek is a Chartered Arbitrator, Accredited Mediator, Chartered Civil Engineer and Adjudicator on several Institutional Panels. He specialises in resolving financial and technical disputes within the construction industry, and acts as Expert Witness on technical and quantum matters in litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation.

He also acts as Party Representative offering construction contract and claims advice, preparation of claims, counterclaims, dispute board submissions and technical reports, final account negotiations, and where negotiation proves unsuccessful, preparation of submissions, advocacy and case management of mediations, adjudications and arbitrations.

Derek has formerly been Chairman of the SE Branch of the CIArb, Course Director of Adjudicator Training at the CIArb and Council Member of the Society of Construction Law. He is currently a Liveryman and Court Assistant of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators and an active Community Mediator of neighbour disputes with Mediation North Surrey.
