Ken Tracey MRICS MCIArb MCIOB

Ken is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Builder. For over 35 years, he has worked in the construction industry for main contractors and civil engineering consultants in the UK, Africa and The Netherlands.

He specialises in contractual claims and has dealt with a variety of disputes, some settled by arbitration and litigation. He is a Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Accredited Mediator involved in commercial mediation and he assisted in founding the ECA's Mediation Service for members; he also mediates in community disputes for the Bromley Mediation Service.

Since joining the ECA in 1999, Ken has advised members on commercial and contractual problems including guidance on adjudication. He is secretary of the Commercial, Contracts and Legal Committee and is a member of the Construction Industry Reform Implementation Panel currently working with H M Revenue and Customs revising the Construction Industry Tax Scheme (CIS). He is also a member of the RICS Building Engineering Services Business Group.
