Mark McGeoch BSc DIPArb FRICS FCIArb

Mark McGeochMark trained as a Quantity Surveyor (now Chartered), and then specialised as a Mechanical and Electrical Services Quantity Surveyor.

After qualifying he spent over six years working for contractors in Abu-Dhabi, Singapore and Sri-Lanka. He returned to the UK in 1987 and joined CEB (Widnells' M&E division) where he was promoted to Director in 1989. He joined Leslie Clark in 1993 as Senior Associate responsible for Engineering Services. He joined AYH plc in November 1999 as an M&E QS Divisional Director. Along with his normal QS duties, he was responsible for establishing AYH Dispute Resolution division, where he has received appointments as mediator, expert witness and early neutral evaluator as well as carrying out general building claims work and managing adjudication's (both referral and response) within AYH.

Mark joined Stapleton International in January 2005 where, along with his appointments as Arbitrator and Mediator, he is dealing with International Construction and Engineering disputes on a full time basis.

Mark is also a Chartered Arbitrator and has acted on a number of Arbitration's since qualifying in 1998. As well as receiving both Party and Presidential Appointments for Commercial Arbitrations, Mark is on the ASTI scheme panel, the Online Panel and the recently formulated London Housing Disputes Mediation, Adjudication and Arbitration panel, all maintained by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

Mark has completed the Adjudicators training course run by the CIArb and is a member of the newly formed Energy Adjudication Service panel.

Mark carried out his mediation training with CEDR and is now a Registered (CEDR-Solve) Mediator. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), CIArb and TeCSA mediator panels.

Mark trained as a (volunteer) Community Mediator in 1997 with Hounslow Mediation Service on their Neighbourhood Dispute scheme. Having moved home, Mark joined the Guildford Mediation service (in 2002) as a volunteer mediator, where he is now Co-Chairman. Mark receives regular appointments from CEDR, the CIArb, the RICS as well as party appointments.
