The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators: Young Members Group
Young members of the Institute can often feel like they are in a wilderness; old enough to be involved but not old enough to be a Chartered Arbitrator. So what does the Institute offer to its younger members? There is of course the excellent training and the opportunity to attend social functions. However, having been to a number of these myself they can often appear to be aimed at the more established members and in particular the Fellows and practising arbitrators. After all, how much interest can a young member have in the way to write awards or some such when any such opportunity may be 10 or more years away.
There is now, however, a young members group, run by young members, which will be actively promoting young members and trying to ensure that this important tier in the make-up of the Institute is not left feeling it is out in the cold.
If you would like to know more about the Young Members Group watch the Institute's website for further details or contact me direct with what you would like the Group to do for you. Alternatively, visit the Group's page on the Institute's website which is only available to young members.
