Dominic Helps, a partner in Shadbolt & Co. who specialises in construction disputes, will be returning to the branch to speak on issues topical at the time. Whatever his chosen subject matter it will be stimulating and of interest.

This event sees the welcome return of Geoff Brewer, who will give an arbitration and adjudication legal update. Geoff is a well-known and leading figure in the dispute resolution arena.

This year’s summer outing will be to Penshurst Place, (photograph below) with plenty for all ages to see and do – and lunch too.

It is customary for the branch to invite the new president to the branch. This year it will be Jim Leckie, who will be known to you all as he has been active in the Institute and the training of its members for many years. He will outline his aims and objectives for the Institute during his year in office and take questions from the audience on any matters they wish to raise.

The Branch’s annual dinner will be on Friday 7 November at our popular venue in Reigate, the Reigate Manor Hotel. Full details and an application form will come with our September issue; but note the date now in your diaries, so that you don’t double-book it by accident.
